About

TARA aims to establish "a comprehensive resource for the acupuncture research and clinician community" by developing three core components: an acupoint ontology incorporating Traditional East Asian Medicine and biological nomenclature; male and female MRI-based human atlases with in vivo imaging; and a searchable database of acupoint characteristics linked to physiological response data from peer-reviewed literature, reviewed by expert committee.
