RRID supports biomedical publishing standards by enabling researchers to identify and track key resources used in scientific studies. The initiative requires authors to authenticate biological resources — including antibodies, model organisms, and research tools — by assigning stable unique identifiers called RRIDs. These identifiers appear in over 800 biomedical journals, allowing readers to identify exact resources and locate related publications.
