NIF catalogs and surveys the neuroscience resource landscape, maintaining "the largest searchable collection of neuroscience data, the largest catalog of biomedical resources, and the largest ontology for neuroscience on the web." NIF coordinates efforts across the NIH Blueprint Consortium's 16 institutes and centers and has served as the foundational infrastructure from which FDI Lab grew.
